Man jailed for stabbing nephew

Mpendulo Cyprian Msomi (37) was recently sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment for stabbing his 21-year-old nephew.

Msomi received his sentencing in the Scottburgh Regional Court, last week.

His nephew, who resides in Mthwalume, was stabbed in the neck, face, and eye on March 22, 2025.

The victim was admitted for treatment and ultimately lost an eye as a result of the attack. The investigating officer in this case was Detective Sergeant Fikile Ngubane.
