Man sentenced to five years in jail for attempted murder

Khulani Dlamini (34) was convicted of attempted murder in the Scottburgh Magistrates Court, last week, where he was handed down a five-year sentence.

Dlamini stabbed the victim in his head and stomach on January 2.

He was arrested and subsequently appeared in court several times. Det Sgt TH Maphumulo of the Umkomaas detectives unit thoroughly investigated the matter, leading to a successful conviction.

Dlamini was also declared unfit to possess a firearm.
