Lehae resident cooks and serves meals to children in Thembelihle Informal Settlement

Ayanda Ndlovu (26), a resident of Lehae, recently prepared and served meals to children in the Thembelihle Informal Settlement as part of a community food drive to address hunger among local children.
Ndlovu was inspired to start the initiative after witnessing the daily struggles of families in the area.
“I walk through Thembelihle often, and I’ve seen children going to bed hungry and parents struggling to afford even one proper meal. I can’t fix everything, but I can cook. This was my way of giving back and reminding people that we’re stronger when we look out for each other,” she said.
