Arena Park CPF to host Crime Awareness and Family Fun Day

The CPF aims to restore Arena Park into a clean, safe, and secure environment.

The Arena Park Community Policing Forum will host its fourth annual Crime Awareness and Family Fun Day on Sunday, June 28, from 10am to 4pm at the Chatsworth Stadium Circus Site.

The day promises fun for the whole family while bringing neighbours together to raise awareness, build community spirit, and support a safer Arena Park.

The event kicks off with a variety of engaging activities. Attendees can look forward to exciting competitions, interactive games, and the chance to win great prizes.

Highlights of the day include:

  • Informative awareness talks and live demonstrations by local service providers
  • An action-packed Fire Brigade demonstration, featuring the ever-popular foam blast
  • A wide selection of food and goods stalls
  • Special SAPS programmes
  • A Blanket Drive Car Show open to all car brands, proudly hosted by the Chatsworth Ford Motor Club

The Arena Park CPF has partnered with local businesses, NGOs, NPOs, government departments, and community members to make this day meaningful and successful.

The main goal is to bridge the gap between the police and the community while promoting strong moral and ethical values among our youth. Success from these events allows the CPF to fund vital initiatives, including youth programmes and community upliftment projects.

The CPF aims to restore Arena Park into a clean, safe, and secure environment. This year, the forum aims to strengthen its CPF patroller family and educate the community on the seriousness of crime, drug abuse, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

Additionally, the event will help launch the Urban Improvement Precinct (UIP) Project. This project focuses on improving safety, cleanliness, and public infrastructure through public-private partnerships.
