Chatsworth Hospice hosts successful orientation and induction programme
The programme provided participants with valuable insights into the hospice’s goals and mission.
The Chatsworth Regional Hospice Association recently held a highly successful orientation and induction programme for volunteers and staff at its auditorium.
The event, co-ordinated by education and training co-ordinator, Dr Sathva Munnoo, opened with a prayer by Mr Rachi Rajagopaul.
The programme provided participants with valuable insights into the hospice’s goals and mission.
As a beacon of hope and compassion for its patients, the hospice depends on volunteers who, through their selfless humanitarian service, play a vital role in helping the hospice articulate its vision of providing quality palliative care to those with life-limiting illnesses.
While staff are pivotal to executing the core objectives of the Chatsworth Hospice, volunteers give off their time, skills and energies at no cost to assist with fundraising and other vital programmes and remain the ‘Earth Angels’ of the Chatsworth Hospice.
The programme began with a warm welcome and overview of the hospice by the president of the Chatsworth Hospice, Ms Kay Nambiar.
