Wentworth police bust alleged drug dealer in Lansdowne Flats sting

The suspect was arrested at the scene and taken to Wentworth SAPS, where he was charged.

Wentworth SAPS’ crime prevention team achieved another success in the fight against drugs after arresting a 25-year-old for alleged possession and dealing, last week.

The super-sleuth team was out in full force conducting patrols when they received intelligence regarding a male suspected of dealing in drugs at the Lansdowne Flats.

Officers proceeded to the location and identified a male matching the description.

A search was conducted, and the following items were found in his possession:

  • Five brown tablets marked ‘Boss’, suspected to be mandrax
  • Ten red and white capsules containing white powder, suspected to be heroin
  • Twenty-six pink rock-like pieces in a clear plastic, suspected to be rock cocaine
  • Nine white rock-like pieces  
  • An undisclosed amount of cash
