Police have urged anyone who recognises the man depicted in the facial composite or who may have information that could assist the investigation to contact Sergeant T.W. Skotha on 083 726 3910.

Lenasia South police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with an alleged rape after releasing a facial composite of the suspect.

According to police, the suspect is sought in relation to a Lenasia South case registered in June 2026, which is being investigated by Sergeant TW Skotha.

Police allege that the complainant had requested an e-hailing ride when the driver allegedly deviated from the intended route and drove to an open field.

It is further alleged that the woman was sexually assaulted before the suspect fled the scene.

The facial composition, compiled by the SAPS Criminal Record and Crime Scene Management Unit, depicts the suspect as a light-complexioned male believed to be between 40 and 50-years-old, approximately 1, 6 metres tall with a heavy build.

He is described as bald with a short beard and moustache, and was reportedly wearing jeans at the time of the incident.

Police say the suspect is believed to speak Zulu and was allegedly armed with a black pistol. He was reportedly driving a red Mini Cooper.

Police have urged anyone who recognises the man depicted in the facial composite or who may have information that could assist the investigation to contact Sgt Skotha on 083-726-3910.
