Metro Police continues with crackdown on drunk driving
Authorities emphasised that this recklessness endangers drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and all other road users.
The Metro Police, in partnership with the South African Police Service and the Road Traffic Inspectorate, conducted intensive integrated roadblock operations across the city, recently.

The initiative followed a series of serious road accidents, many of which were linked to drunk driving, negligent driving, and unroadworthy vehicles.
A total of 324 motorists were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The highest recorded alcohol reading was 3.67, a level considered extremely dangerous.
