Police uncover cache of illegal guns and signal jammers

Umlazi police officers, backed by the Durban Metro Police tracing team and investigation unit, swooped in on a suspected carjacker’s hideout in the Emhlabeni Informal Settlement after receiving crucial intelligence.

Upon entering the property, officers found a 9mm Parabellum Luger pistol with a magazine, linked to a Umlazi carjacking case, as well as a 9mm Star pistol with a defaced serial number and magazine, a homemade revolver pistol, a black 9mm Glock magazine, 17 live 9mm rounds, and four signal jammers with different serial numbers.
