Virgin Active Padel Club serves up first KZN venue at Gateway in Umhlanga
For those looking to enhance their skills, coaching will be available. The club will also host social events, leagues, and tournaments, creating a vibrant and engaged padel community. A warm up/ training area has been created next to the courts to assist players prevent injury and improve performance.
Virgin Active Padel Club is thrilled to announce the opening of its first KZN venue- a six-court mega club at the prestigious Gateway Theatre of Shopping in Umhlanga.
Virgin Active Padel Club: Gateway features six premium Adidas padel courts- five doubles courts and one singles court. The club is situated adjacent to the Virgin Active at Gateway, in the space formerly occupied by the WavePark.
Like all Virgin Active Padel Clubs, the Gateway facility is open to the public. Both Virgin Active and non-Virgin Active members have the convenience of using the Playtomic booking app to reserve courts. Players will also be able to purchase or rent padel merchandise, such as rackets, balls, clothing, shoes, accessories, and more, from the top-notch padel pro shop located next to the courts.
Players can also enjoy healthy food and drinks from Kauai, situated next to the padel courts.

The new facility brings to nine the number of Virgin Active Padel Clubs in South Africa. These include Huddle Park, Randpark, Groenkloof, Durbanville, The Glen, Lourensford, The EPICENTRE (South Africa’s first multi-court indoor arena) and Lorraine. Several more ‘in-gym’ padel clubs are also on their way at Virgin Active Health Clubs in George, Johannesburg, Centurion, and other venues around South Africa.
