Harmony Primary becomes beneficiary of Al-Imdaad’s stationery and feeding programme
Al-Imdaad project co-ordinator, Moulana Ansar Johaardien, expressed how happy they are with the team for bringing this project to Harmony.
Gauteng-based foundation, Al-Imdaad, in partnership with the Striving to Serve Humanity organisation, paid a visit to Harmony Primary School in Lenasia on Thursday, to conduct the stationery and feeding scheme programme. This programme is carried out nationwide. The foundation picked out a school to hand out stationery and school bags to pupils from underprivileged backgrounds.
Knowing that some pupils come to school without eating a nutritious breakfast is where the vision of the ‘Make Breakfast Possible’ feeding scheme programme arose.
It was implemented in partnership with the Department of Education, and approximately 100 pupils receive breakfast every morning to maintain the standards of providing nutritious breakfast.
