PICS: Rising Sun and Al-Imdaad Foundation spread winter warmth in honour of Tata Madiba
Upon receiving their hampers and warm meals, the residents extended their blessings and appreciation to both organisations for their care and generosity.
The bitter chill of winter was overpowered by the warmth of love as the Rising Sun Community Newspapers, in proud partnership with the Al-Imdaad Foundation brought smiles and joy to families in commemoration of Mandela Month.
Families from in and around the Phoenix area benefited from this beautiful and thoughtful gesture, which also witnessed the residents receiving a hearty and delicious meal.

Considering that the recent floods left many families homeless and vulnerable, with many still recovering from this, both the Rising Sun and Al-Imdaad felt it necessary to reach out to residents, providing them with hope and essential items to help ease the burden.

It was a beautiful day of togetherness, giving back and upliftment all in the name of Madiba.
