Pupils show-off spelling skills in spelling bee competition

Proud school principal, Silindile Msomi, said she was more than impressed at seeing the pupils’ ability to spell such difficult words and congratulated the top achievers for doing exceptionally well.

Durban South Primary School, situated in Clairwood, recently held its highly competitive spelling bee competition.

Participants were asked to spell a wide selection of words with a varying degree of difficulty.

The aim of the competition was to improve and expand pupils’ vocabulary, especially in the English language.
