I trust that you are all well and happy that the racing has started again.
The Sappi Scottburgh MTB and Trail Weekend is excited to bring the 2022 event to you.
Sadly, I have to let you know that I will not be in charge anymore.
I am handing over the event to someone who has the knowledge and the passion to keep the event running as well as it has been in the past.
I have been organising the Scottburgh MTB and Trail Run Weekend since its inception in 2008 when Billy Harker and I held the trail run as part of the Scottburgh Winter Solstice Event.
I am currently working on some plans that are not going to allow me to do this any longer.
The last thing I wanted to do was cancel the event completely.
I have worked too hard to simply let it disappear.
Without further delay, I am announcing that Dave Ward of Ward Events has offered to take over from me.
Dave has been in ‘the game’ for a long time, so he knows what to do.
While I am still available I will assist him. I am sure that the event is going to be as good as ever.
We look forward to inviting everyone to Scottburgh within a few months.
