Fed up Ghandinagar residents roll up their sleeves

The community of Ghandinagar has had enough with Umdoni Municipality, and many residents have volunteered their free service to patch these bad potholes if one could call them potholes.

Repairs began to ensure that the vehicles and the general public can use the road and know it is safe.

The spirit of Ubuntu has come alive within the community of Ghandinagar, but it is sad to say it is non-existent in most government departments, including the Batho Pele principles of putting people first.

The slogan ‘working together we can do more’ has to become a reality at the grass root level.

The community of Ghandinagar would like to thank the Ghandinagar People’s Forum, which partnered with the community of Ghandinagar, for sponsoring three pockets of cement and a van load of blue stones from monies from the fun walk held in November last year to kick off the initiative.
