Sand dunes murder victims were Montford residents
Provincial police spokesman, Brig Jay Naicker, said, “Durban Central police received a complaint of a double murder and immediately proceeded to the scene. Upon arrival, they found the bodies of a man and woman with stab wounds.”
The man and woman, whose bloodied and lifeless bodies were discovered by a vagrant at the sand dunes area, near Suncoast, have been identified as 24-year-old Kresan Chandiah and 50-year-old Fathima Bee Bee Muhammad.

Both victims of the horrific double murder resided in Montford, Chatsworth.

Speaking to the Rising Sun, Chandiah’s distraught sister, Valerie, urged residents to refrain from sharing the graphic images of her brother and Muhammed at the crime scene, which have been circulating on social media since Monday afternoon.

“This is a difficult time for both bereaved families and we will pursue with legal action if people continue to circulate the graphic images,” she said.
