While many residents have voted in the past, born-frees and also first-time voters were definitely in a celebratory mode having made their mark for the first time. First-time voter, Ms M Naidoo said that she is confident in the political party which she voted for. “I am overjoyed that I participated in this year’s national elections. After all, my vote is my voice,” she happily said.

Voting stations throughout the country will close at 9pm.
