Strelitzia Secondary pupils jet off to Switzerland

Thirteen pupils and three teachers will be hosted as part of the educational programme. The excited pupils will be staying in the community of Interlaken and will stay for a period of two weeks.

Following the 100 percent matric pass rate in Tourism over the years, Strelitzia Secondary School pupils have decided to take tourism to another level by embarking on an international tour of Switzerland.

The school is part of a Student Exchange Programme which is in partnership with Gymnasium, Interlaken, in Switzerland. Thirteen pupils and three teachers will be hosted as part of the educational programme. The excited pupils will be staying in the community of Interlaken and will stay for a period of two weeks.

Teacher, Maya Shah, said that the pupils cannot wait to explore the country. “The programme offers an educational tour that will allow pupils to study and engage in a new environment. It is aimed at enhancing pupils’ understanding and tolerance of others cultures as well as broadening their educational and social horizons,” she said.

Pupils and teachers will be leaving on March 26. The principal, together with staff members, would like to wish them safe travelling and well in their journey.
