Yellowwood Park pupils taught leadership skills
Pupils were taken through a five-hour leadership workshop, which was aimed at helping the prefects master self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills.
Yellowwood Park Primary School prefects participated in a leadership programme hosted by the Step Up Education Centres at the school, recently.
Cindy Glass facilitated the leadership workshop for the grade seven prefects. Pupils were taken through a five-hour leadership workshop, which was aimed at helping the prefects master self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills.

Step Up Education Centres believe in teaching young pupils to value who they are which is an important step to becoming excellent leaders.
Co-founder of the centre and facilitator, Cindy Glass, said that pupils had an exciting day and loved being part of the programme. “The Yellowwood Park Primary prefects had a fantastic morning and are sure to add positive value to their leadership tasks as they navigate their way through life,” she said.
