SA Harvest receives nutrition buckets as part of Start Strong Mandela Month initiative
On Friday, July 17, for Mandela Day, the Pav and SA Harvest hosted a mall activation with a bucket-packing activity, public awareness messaging, campaign information, opportunities to contribute, and guidance on how shoppers, tenants, and companies can get involved.
The Pavilion Shopping Centre once more has partnered with SA Harvest this time with their Start Strong Mandela Month initiative, inviting shoppers, retailers, and partners on Friday, July 17, to help pack nutrition buckets for mothers, babies, and caregivers in need.
The campaign entails a practical food-access initiative focused on supporting mothers, babies, young children and caregivers during the first 1, 000 days of life – a critical window for early development.
SA Harvest co-ordinates procurement, packing, logistics, and distribution through approved healthcare-linked and community partners, helping to ensure that support moves responsibly from public goodwill to communities with existing need and distribution capacity.

Through this activation, the Pavilion is using its platform as one of Durban’s major public spaces to help turn Mandela Month participation into practical community support.
