Phoenix Care Foundation brings hope through Qurbani meat distribution
The programme embodied the true meaning of Eid al-Adha by promoting generosity, compassion and solidarity with those less fortunate.
The spirit of compassion, unity, and generosity was on full display this Eid al-Adha as the Phoenix Care Foundation, the South African Dawah Network (SADN), and the Diyanet Foundation joined forces to successfully carry out a Qurbani meat distribution programme for vulnerable families across several communities.
The collaborative humanitarian initiative ensured that Qurbani meat reached numerous households facing financial hardship, allowing many families to share in the blessings of Eid during one of the most significant occasions in the Islamic calendar.
The programme embodied the true meaning of Eid al-Adha by promoting generosity, compassion and solidarity with those less fortunate.
Volunteers from the three organisations worked together to distribute the meat, bringing relief and hope to families in need. Representatives from the partnering organisations expressed their sincere appreciation to the donors, volunteers and community members whose contributions made the initiative possible.

“Qurbani is not only about the sacrifice – it is about sharing our blessings, strengthening communities and ensuring that no family is forgotten during this sacred time,” a representative of the partnership said.
The Phoenix Care Foundation, SADN, and the Diyanet Foundation reaffirmed their commitment to continuing collaborative projects that uplift communities, provide relief to vulnerable individuals and promote the values of kindness, dignity and humanitarian service.
The organisations also thanked the beneficiaries and volunteers for their support and participation, noting that the success of the initiative reflected the power of collective action and a shared commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those most in need.
