Sinika Uthando hosts graduation celebration for Project Bambelela
The graduation ceremony was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when communities, partners, and learners unite around a shared vision of empowerment and sustainable change.
Look at what a compliance spreadsheet will never show you. What happens inside Sinika Uthando is not merely academic training.
This is a high-velocity employment accelerator and a sanctuary for human restoration.
Project Bambelela proudly celebrated another significant milestone as learners gathered to receive their certificates, marking the successful completion of their training journey.

For many graduates, this qualification represents far more than an academic achievement. It symbolises resilience, courage, renewed hope, and the opportunity to build a future free from economic vulnerability.
Through skills development, workplace exposure, and ongoing support, learners have been equipped to pursue employment, entrepreneurship, and personal growth with confidence.

Principal, Jennifer Chetty, told graduates during her address, “Your certificate is not the destination – it is the key that opens the next door. Walk forward with confidence, knowing that your future is shaped by the choices you make from this moment onward.”
This success would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the organisation’s funding and implementation partners.
“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to WRSETA and the Services SETA for their continued investment in skills development, economic empowerment, and community transformation. Their commitment has enabled hundreds of learners to access opportunities that are changing lives and strengthening communities. We also acknowledge the leadership and guidance of our board and executive team,” she said.
Special thanks were afforded to the principal, Jennifer Chetty, for her vision, the chairman, attorney, Leon Pillay, for governance, both of which continue to strengthen the organisation’s mission, and chancellor professor, Ryan Devanathan for his strategic insight and support – whose dedication and passion remain at the heart of every successful programme delivered.
An assignment of this magnitude – training, mentoring, and qualifying thousands of extraordinary individuals – is never a solo journey. It takes a village, it takes a fortress, and it takes an army.
“To Sinika’s incredible 40-man army – the Sinika Force – thank you. A special word of gratitude to the Vineyard Church for graciously hosting this memorable celebration and creating a welcoming space for our graduates and their families. We also thank Danny Naidoo Photography for capturing the pride, joy, and life-changing moments that made the day so special. To every graduate: congratulations. Your success is a testament to your determination and perseverance. You have overcome challenges, embraced opportunity, and demonstrated that transformation is possible when courage meets support. Today, we celebrate certificates earned. Tomorrow, we celebrate lives changed. Project Bambelela continues to stand as proof that skills development is not merely about training – it is about restoring dignity, creating opportunity, and building a future where individuals and communities can thrive,” Principal Chetty concluded.
