Police shut down illegal pub, arrest suspects
Several undocumented foreign nationals were also arrested during the operation.
SAPS officers in KwaZulu-Natal, led by provincial police commissioner, Lt Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, demonstrated the state’s authority during a multi-disciplinary operation targeting the Point area of Durban, Umlazi, and KwaMashu on Friday night.

During the operation, which sealed off Dr Pixley ka Seme Street in Point, police officers shut down a popular pub that was operating illegally. Its manager, who is in the country illegally, was arrested, and liquor was also confiscated.

There were also suspects who were arrested for being in possession of drugs and possession of a firearm without a licence.
In Umlazi, a suspect was arrested for obstructing police officers in the execution of their duties. Several undocumented foreign nationals were also arrested during the operation.
