‘Spring It On’ at Glenwood Village

Entry is free and all are welcome. Glenwood Village doesn’t charge for on-site parking, has guarded street parking, and is easily accessible on public transport.

Celebrate the change in season with a spring-themed family day comprising a morning market, a fashion show, live music, and various tenant promotions at Glenwood Village on Saturday, September 27.

Rolling out the red carpet, model boss, Roberta Alessandri, will be hosting a fashion show at 11am – with bespoke garments for young women sourced from fashion houses in the centre: The Fifth 031, a collective of local designers, all of whom make limited edition smart casual, special occasion, and evening ensembles; as well as PEP and BMT Clothing.

The MC will be Glenwood’s Janine de Jesus, owner of the Grand White Mansion, who was Mrs KZN 2024, and this year is the second princess, Mrs Umhlanga and Mrs Umhlanga Princess of Purpose.

There will be a morning market on the upper level – offering Glenwood entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their wares and skills – offering sweet treats, books and CDs, pre-loved clothing, treasures and collectables, beadwork, belts, soaps and décor items.

Durban’s own Gary McKenzie will be singing spring tunes and making visitors aware of activities and promotions taking place throughout the centre.

“Increasingly, we understand the need to nurture a sense of neighbourhood in places where we gather. And what better occasion to celebrate our shared community than the beginning of spring,” said Glenwood Village’s Steve King.

Many of the shops will be offering spring specials and promotions. Entry is free and all are welcome. Glenwood Village doesn’t charge for on-site parking, has guarded street parking, and is easily accessible on public transport.
