Communications officer of Isipingo SAPS, Cnst Donald Naidoo, said, “An Indian male in his 60s was gunned down in his vehicle on Dahlia Place in the Isipingo area in Durban. The shooting occurred just after 9:30pm. Officers responded to a complaint of a drive-by shooting and upon arrival, they noticed a white Toyota Fortuner, which collided with a wall on Dahlia Place. Upon further inspection, they noticed that the vehicle had multiple bullet holes on the driver’s side. Police officers also found that the driver of the vehicle sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body and head. Unfortunately, there was nothing more paramedics could do for him and he was declared dead at the scene by the PT Ambulance. Twenty-six AK47 spent cartridges were found at the scene.
