Perched on the picturesque shores of the Indian Ocean, the Wild Coast Sun beckoned me to experience its renowned hospitality and breathtaking beauty once more as part of a complimentary two-night media visit.

As you may recall from my previous two trips, the four-star resort had left such an impression on me with its sun-kissed beaches, lush surrounding nature, breathtaking hotel vibes, and the friendliest and warmest atmosphere that it was hard to bid farewell when the time arrived for my departure back to Chatsworth.

This being my third media vacation to the Wild Coast Sun – or as I still prefer to call it ‘the land of milk and honey’ and ‘a wonderful slice of heaven on earth’, I was excited to once again uncover the secrets of this beloved destination and share my unforgettable and beautiful journey with you. The arrival: Molo again, Wild Coast Sun – I have missed you!

As I turned off the highway and onto the scenic route, the Wild Coast Sun’s majestic silhouette came into view, its beauty leaving me breathless. After a two-hour road trip filled with an abundance of snacks, iced beverages, and an exciting music playlist that had me singing along, I felt invigorated and ready to embark on my adventure. The stunning views of the crystal blue sea and gorgeous greenery that lined the route only added to my anticipation.

As I entered the resort’s grounds, a sense of excitement washed over me. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning, eager to unwrap the treasures that awaited me. After a seamless check-in process, I was handed the key card to my room, situated on the fabulous fifth floor – a familiar haven from my previous visits. With key card in hand, I made my way to the room, my heart racing with anticipation.

As I swung open the door, a luxurious oasis unfolded before me. A gorgeous king-sized bed, adorned with plush pillows and a sumptuous duvet, beckoned me to indulge in a rejuvenating slumber. The room was a masterclass in elegance, with all the necessary amenities and a magical bathroom area that seemed to whisper sweet nothings to my weary soul. But it was the large window, slid open to reveal the breathtaking ocean views and my own personal vista of the Wild Waves Water Park, that truly stole my heart. As I settled into my room, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for this opportunity to experience the Wild Coast Sun’s hospitality once again. Little did I know, the best was yet to come.

Time to unwind: Soaking up the relaxation

Just imagine this: Lying on a comfy deck chair staring in front of a massive pool, the breeze in your hair, having a delicious cocktail, living your best life. Yes, that was me! As much as the Wild Coast Sun is a place where never-ending fun, excitement, and thrill awaits, it also serves as the perfect haven of tranquillity for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

With no hustle and bustle of the busy city and no deadlines to meet – just the soothing sound of light music drifting from the neighbouring Maltos restaurant and the rhythmic crashing of the waves against the shore – I felt my worries melting away.

In that serene moment, I regretted not bringing a novel along, as the setting was ideal for getting lost in a good book. The golden sunshine on my skin, the cool breeze through my hair, and the lovely sound of waves brought upon a soothing feeling, one that leaves you floating away on a happy and fluffy cloud. Even if you’re an adrenaline-junkie who typically opts for daring adventures, I highly recommend giving relaxation a try. You’ll discover a newfound appreciation for the tranquillity and rejuvenation it brings.

A heavenly massage at Magwanani Spa:

The rest and relaxation continued as I made my way to Magwanani Spa for a heavenly full body massage. Having been to the Wild Coast Sun’s Magwanani Spa on my previous two visits, I knew exactly what awaited me and I could hardly contain my excitement.

The ladies at the spa not only have magic in their friendly smiles, but also their hands! Every knot in my body, even the ones that I did not know existed, were melted away during the blissful experience. Of course, the experience was made all the indulgent with the smell of the aromatic oils.

Non-stop fun at Wild Waves Water Park

No trip to the Wild Coast Sun would be complete without a visit to the Wild Waves Water Park, where you can make waves and dive into fun! Splish-splash fun awaits everyone at the Wild Waves Water Park – it doesn’t matter whether you are young or young at heart, there is a ride to cater to every desire.

From the gentle Lazy River to the thrilling tube slides, every attraction is designed to create unforgettable memories.

Whether you’re seeking adrenaline-pumping excitement or relaxing, laid-back fun, the Wild Waves Water Park has something for everyone.

Dining at Chico’s Restaurant

As part of my indulgent complimentary stay, I was treated to a culinary delight – complimentary breakfasts and suppers at the renowned Chico’s Restaurant. As you walk into the beautiful restaurant, you’ll be in awe of the impressive buffet before your eyes.

It’s often said that you first eat with your eyes, and believe me, each buffet option is created with such love that you’ll feel compelled to try everything on the menu. Being a Chatsworth girl, my favourite meal, of course, was the traditional lamb curry, with sambals and fresh bread rolls on the side. You can take the girl out of Chatsworth, but you can’t take Chatsworth out of her! For breakfast, I found myself indulging in freshly baked croissants, crispy bacon, and fried eggs.

The offerings at both breakfast and dinner are vast, so you’ll certainly be spoiled for choice. There’s also a wide selection of decadent pastries! With a dazzling array of dishes catering to every taste and dietary preference, Chico’s Restaurant is a true culinary spectacle.

Farewell to paradise: Until next time, Wild Coast Sun

As always, my trip to the Wild Coast has left me with a treasure trove of memories which I will cherish dearly until my next visit. It is never easy leaving the Wild Coast Sun and returning to reality, however, I knew that even though I was checking out, I would not be forgetting my joyous experience any time soon. With memories to last a lifetime, I bid farewell to the Wild Coast Sun, already counting down the days until my next visit.
