Chatsworth Hospice inspired by young pupils’ generosity
The Chatsworth Hospice stands unwaveringly as a beacon of hope, comfort, and care for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
Having recently commemorated World Hospice and Palliative Care Day as well as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Chatsworth Regional Hospice Association is elated and emboldened by the kind gesture and selfless act of generosity of the pupils of Glenview Primary School.
These amazing young pupils donated money to the Chatsworth Hospice in acknowledgement of the vital palliative care services they render at no charge to patients. At a presentation on Thursday, November 7, a representative of the Chatsworth Hospice, Mr Dhaver was warmly received by the management, staff, and pupils.
Special thanks are recorded to Ms Hazel Naicker, a member of staff who went above the call of duty in ensuring that a substantial amount was raised for Chatsworth Hospice.
“Knowing the financial challenges faced by schools, this is indeed a heartwarming gesture, and we are grateful to the pupils and staff of Glenview Primary for their compassion and spirit of selfless caring,” said the president of the Chatsworth Hospice, Mrs Thilaga Pillay.
