​In a remarkable display of talent, 11-year-old chess prodigy Madhav Puran, a pupil at St Mary’s Primary, is set to represent KwaZulu-Natal at the upcoming Mzansi Provincials in Limpopo this December. This prestigious tournament serves as a qualifier for the closed South African under-14 championship.

Madhav, who has been honing his skills from a young age, has rapidly ascended through the ranks of the chess community. His strategic acumen and unwavering determination have earned him numerous accolades, setting him apart as one of the brightest young stars in the game.
