Flamingo Primary School recently celebrated its annual grade seven career day at the Saaberie Chishty Hall, showcasing a vibrant partnership that enriches the community. This dynamic event, linked to the economic management sciences (EMS) curriculum, aimed to expose learners to various career paths, ignite their curiosity, and inspire early career choices.

The day’s success was made possible by the tireless efforts of educators and staff. Highlights included pupils dressing up as their chosen professions, engaging with distinguished guest speakers, and showcasing enthusiasm for their future careers.

Esteemed speakers included representatives from Saaberie Chishty, firefighters, occupational therapist, Saajidah Ismail, DJ Looks, Advocate Jan Langa, actor and TV personality, Andriane Mazive, motivational speaker, Shaun Oliver, SAPS and SANDF representatives, business owner, Raeez Morgan, dancer and studio owner, Nicole Koeberg, Chef Dwayne Kundan from Fusion Foods, and singer-songwriter, Busiswa Gqulu.

“A collective effort made this event possible. We look forward to continuing this tradition and empowering our students to explore their future aspirations. Heartfelt thanks go to our guest speakers for their invaluable wisdom and inspiration, which has left a lasting impact on our pupils,” said a Flamingo Primary School representative.
