Tiger House triumphs at St Mary’s sports day
The highlight of the event was the electrifying pupils and teachers invitational relay. In a nail-biting finish, St Mary’s emerged victorious, much to the delight of the cheering crowd.
Merebank was abuzz with energy, activity, and enthusiasm during St Mary’s Primary School’s annual sports day, which saw four houses compete for glory. According to deputy principal, Mr R Singh, the competition was fierce, with all pupils giving their all in each of the thrilling events.
Tiger House emerged victorious, claiming the top spot and leaving the field in awe of their skill and determination. Jaguar House put up a strong fight, finishing in a commendable second place.

The sports day also saw the participation of Bright Stars Creche and Wentworth SAPS social crime prevention. W/O Nair and Cnst Enicker were present, interacting with pupils and sharing vital information on safety, stranger danger, respecting teachers and parents, and the importance of focusing on education.
