“We need our youth to come forward and help strengthen our Hindu religion and culture. Hindu youth have the will, capacity and technological know-how of advancing our Hindu cause, and restore our Hindu Dharma to its pristine glory. The sabha plans to keep our youth off the streets, involvement in drug and alcohol abuse, and other social ills. The objective is to get Hindu youth involved in positive and righteous activities for healthy, holistic self-development. Our youth will be encouraged to become thought leaders, climate activists, strong characters, sports participants, high achievers at schools, and good community leaders. It is expected that youth will develop themselves to their full potential and be the best they can be, doing themselves, their families and friends, as well community and country proud,” said the president of the South African Hindu Dharma Sabha, Ram Maharaj.

With entrepreneurial energy and enthusiasm as well as the acquisition of appropriate and applicable skills, youth can become job creators rather than merely job seekers.

“The Hindu Youth Movement will create platforms and opportunities for the expression of fresh and innovative ideas, a progressive narrative and changing of mindsets. Our youth have the vision and mission to scan new horizons, brave new frontiers and scale new heights. Our Hindu youth can certainly develop a dynamic, inclusive and sustainable Dharmic ecosystem to power the Hindu Renaissance. Our sabha can depend on our younger generation to hold high our glorious Hindu flag and march forward with pride and passion. All youth are welcome,” he concluded.
