Parsee Rustomjee notches another first for schooling in Merebank
The website will allow Parsee Rustomjee Primary School to operate as a virtual academic facility that enables teaching and learning to occur 24-hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year.
Parsee Rustomjee Primary School, under the astute leadership of school principal, RS Lalla, is proud to announce the launch of their website: www.parseerustomjee.co.za, which is now live. Parents, pupils and members of the public are invited to visit the website, which is a trove of learning, featuring cutting edge online resources.
Starting with a virtual tour of a grade R classroom, the website is packed with exciting and innovative materials that can be freely accessed by all pupils, who will derive both enjoyment and educational benefits from visiting and interacting with the school’s website.
“With the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant fear among parents to send their children to school, the need to embrace online learning has become invaluable to supplement classroom teaching. It is envisaged that the movement towards a blended approach of educational delivery will assist the school to rise above the current challenges to education and to set a new high water mark for the delivery of education. The school website has therefore become a necessity rather than a want,” said Lalla.

He explained that with society normalising the digital, it is akin to committing intellectual suicide for schools to push on without incorporating technology as part of their service delivery.
The school’s effective and efficient website will play a multi-faceted role in the digital transformation and evolution of schooling. It is often the first contact that the public has with the school and it conveys the image and reputation of the school.
Parents can access and assess the school online before physically visiting the school.
The design and aesthetics of the school’s website reflects the values, beliefs, attitudes, traditions, and character of the school. As an effective conduit of communication, the website will keep parents and the broader community updated on the latest developments at the school.

“The school invites all well-wishers to interact with our website and to partner with us as we lead the way forward during these uncertain times,” concluded Lalla.
