Police treat King Shaka pupils to a delicious breakfast

The pupils were invited to the breakfast for performing outstandingly in Physical Science. The teachers, together with SAPS, saw it fit to further encourage them to do even better as they approach their year end exams.

The Umlazi SAPS Social Crime Prevention, together with Umlazi Communication and Department of Education, treated King Shaka High School teachers and nine Physical Science pupils to a breakfast at Cheyenne Spur in Mega City Mall.

The pupils were invited to the breakfast for performing outstandingly in Physical Science. The teachers, together with SAPS, saw it fit to further encourage them to do even better as they approach their year end exams.

Cpt Muzi Twala of Umlazi Social Crime Prevention encouraged the pupils to keep up the good work. He said that he has been working closely with the school throughout the year. “I have seen so much dedication from each pupil and truly believe that those children are passionate about making a different in their own lives.”

Principal of King Shaka High School, Bongani Mncwabe, told pupils to never lose direction when they leave school and should hold the flag of King Shaka up high by being good examples to all they meet.

Melody Twala, a Life Science teacher at King Shaka High, said that she is very proud of pupils who worked hard during their trial exams and is certain that they will do even better in their finals.

Department of Education representative, N Ndamase and TC Gwala, applauded the teacher and pupils for their continuous efforts and the clear improvement that has been noticed at Shaka High.

Communications officer of Umlazi SAPS, Cpt Carmen Rhynes, said, “As grade 12’s, this is a lifetime opportunity that you should grab with both hands and make sure you pass.  Next year exciting things will unfold in your tertiary education as you begin to study what makes you happy and come alive. Put down your head and study. Do your best and make yourself a success. The world is waiting for you to make a difference in it and be a part of the solution and not the problem. You are your own coach, teacher and encourager. Make sure you listen to the right powerful voices around you and do well. ”
