Chatsworth bodybuilder sponsored by SA legend
Moorton resident, Timothy Vincent, who has done the bodybuilding fraternity and his community proud, is now part of the Born to Dominate (BTD) group and according to him, this is a great achievement which will he will never forget.
A Chatsworth bodybuilder has finally reaped the benefits of perseverance, hard work and tenacity, after he was sponsored by SA bodybuilding legend, Marius Dohne.
Moorton resident, Timothy Vincent, who has done the bodybuilding fraternity and his community proud, is now proudly part of the Born to Dominate (BTD) group and according to him, this is a great achievement which will he will never forget.
In an interview with the humble individual, he said that this sponsorship will allow him to train under Dohne’s supervision and will focus on nutrition, fitness and preparing him to compete at the IFBB level.
Dohne said that Vincent fully has the support of BTD and Jesus behind him. “I saw something in Tim and I reckon that if he keeps focussed, he can be the best men’s physique athlete in Durban. But it all depends on him now,” said Dohne.
Vincent, who was always interested in bodybuilding, said that he thanks God for this amazing achievement as it is indeed an honour. “Being a part of BTD is definitely a great deal. Marius Dohne saw me just once and was really impressed with my physique and of course, my dedication and passion shown towards this sport. I am extremely thankful for this opportunity,” he said.
Aside from receiving praise from Dohne, Vincent also recently featured on FitNish, which features men and women with excellent physiques. “Knowing that my hard work has been recognised really motivates me to push myself harder. There is no stopping for me. I did not give up and worked really hard,” said the determined go-getter.
Vincent added that in order to achieve success, he had to follow a very healthy lifestyle as well. “I eat the right type of foods and I try to keep it as simple as possible. I also need to watch my calorie intake daily. Each one of us are different so it is essential to know your body type, and also which foods work for you or against you. I also refrain from junk food and alcohol,” the Moorton resident added.
His advice to readers to is to always believe in themselves and also encouraged them to remember that success does not happen overnight but with hard work and dedication, it can be achieved. He said that he has big plans for this year as well so watch this space! In his spare time, he enjoys visiting the gym, soccer and rugby. When asked to describe himself in five words, he said, “Dedicated, motivated, ambitious, courageous and a dreamer.” He has done his community proud.
