Girlfriend stabbed to death in alleged lovers’ quarrel
It is alleged that the deceased was found dead at her home by her brother.
A 25-year-old man was arrested for murder after he allegedly killed his 32-year-old girlfriend at her home in Naicker Road in Shallcross, last Monday.
It is alleged that the deceased was found dead at her home by her brother. The accused, Stemibso Ncgobo, has since appeared before the Chatsworth Magistrates Court, on Thursday, and was remanded in custody at the Westville Correctional Services. He will appear in court again on February 12.
Communications officer of Chatsworth SAPS, Lt Cheryl Pillay, said, “On arrival at the scene, police were informed that the deceased had a domestic dispute with her boyfriend and that he had allegedly stabbed her. Police immediately conducted their investigations and proceeded to the South Coast, where investigators arrested one suspect.”
Chatsworth SAPS Station Commander, Brigadier Coenraad Marais commended the officers for the successful apprehension of the suspect and assures the community that Chatsworth SAPS is committed towards ensuring that all cases reported to the police are dealt with efficiently and perpetrators of crime will be brought to justice.
