Chatsworth SAPS in partnership with Pro Secure, recently hosted a Christmas outreach programme for indigent pupils, who attend Cresentridge Primary School.
According to the communications officer of Chatsworth SAPS, Cpt Cheryl Pillay, the promotion and protection of children’s human rights, dignity and safety remain a concern for all of society.
“Manager of Pro Secure, Shaun Chetty, approached police ahead of Christmas after hearing of the plight of pupils at schools in the Chatsworth policing precinct. Together, we adopted this school for this programme. I spearheaded this programme with the hope of bringing happiness and smiles to these budding pupils. I also addressed the youngsters on child protection, child trafficking, bullying, and human rights of children,” shared Cpt Pillay. Chetty explained that putting children first remains a priority in South Africa.

“Pro Secure further blessed the pupils with Christmas hampers and a scrumptious KFC meal. It is such acts of kindness that will restore hope to children which will change the trajectory of the world towards light and love. These humanitarian acts of kindness will remain embedded in the hearts of police and force multipliers, such as Pro Secure,” concluded Cpt Pillay.
