Goldrush Millions creates second millionaire in KZN
Goldrush Bingo MDs, Kathleho Thejane and Greg Sutherland confirmed that the promo would re-commence in October with qualification tournaments taking place at Goldrush branches countrywide every Friday at 2pm and 8pm.
A Rustenburg man, Gerhardus Maree, became SA’s latest millionaire when he scooped the top prize in the Goldrush Millions final draw on Saturday.
In doing so, he became the promotions second millionaire in two months- in keeping with Goldrush’s promise to create six millionaires in six months.
Maree who ‘amazingly’ only entered the promotion on its last day, will be investing his winnings on a new house. He joins Pietermaritzburg millionaire, Nirvana Moodley, who was Goldrush’s August R1 million winner. KZN winners featured strongly on the final night.
A Chatsworth Goldrush member walked away with a cool R100, 000, a Phoenix winner- R75, 000 and a Durban Central player- R50, 000. Goldrush CEO, Mergan Naidoo, congratulated Maree and confirmed an additional R1, 5million had been presented to consolation prize winners in branches throughout South Africa.

A total of 38 branch finalists then compete for the big R1 million prize at 9:30pm that night.
