Verulam netball star jets off to Australia

She has also been in 16 inter-provincial tournaments, representing KZN.

Law student and netball coach, Navani Moodley (25) is excited to represent the country in the Indoor Netball World Cup in Brisbane in August, this year.

Moodley started her netball career at Glenwood Preparatory School, then Durban Girls’ High School and also played for UKZN.

She has also been in 16 inter-provincial tournaments, representing KZN.

“I have been to America, where I represented the La Lucia Netball Club. I played at the Disney Netball Tournament at the ESPN Centre in Orlando, Florida, which was a dream come true,” she said.

She added that this year was dedicated to sports and achieving her goal of making the SA team.

“Put God first in everything you do and you will succeed. Netball takes discipline and perseverance, any sport actually. There will be bad days and good ones. The trick is to keep going even when it gets bad. Most importantly, have fun with it because that’s when you play well when you’re enjoying what you do. Every time I go out there, my goal is to grow but also to have fun whilst doing it,” concluded Moodley.
