Chatsworth Hospice Food Fair- a delicious success

The event witnessed large crowds of residents from Chatsworth and surrounding areas tucking into scrumptious meals.

Delicious and appetising treats along with treasured memories were cooked up at the Chatsworth Hospice’s Food Fair, recently. The annual initiative, which is always a hit with the community, was once again a hit.

Faye Guriah of the Chatsworth Regional Hospice Association said, “Supporters spent a relaxed day having head, back and foot massages, tarot card reading, reiki, and hair-cuts at reasonable prices.”

Those who attended the health desk left happily equipped with wise advice given by professional nurses, who were pleased to assist.

The culinary department was abuzz with activity providing delicious breyanis, bunny chows, curries, savouries, idlis, appaus and other sweet dishes for those with discerning palates.

The Food Fair is held on an annual basis to help raise much-needed funds for the hospice to continue providing palliative care to patients and their families free of all cost.

In light of the highly successful initiative, management, staff and volunteers of the hospice extend their gratitude to everyone who assisted in making the event a memorable one.

“On behalf of the members of the Board of Management, volunteers and staff of the Chatsworth Hospice, we would like to thank the Rising Sun, Hindvani Radio, schools, businesses, Chatsmed Hospital, RK Khan Hospital and the community for their unwavering support,” she added.

“We recognise the work we do would not be possible without considerable support from the local businesses and individuals. We appreciate your dedication in assisting us to help patients and families in need,” she concluded.
