Customers enjoy a royal affair at Take n Pay’s Food Town golden gala

It was a night to remember from the entrance to the entire proceedings that took place. The atmosphere was charged with mixed emotions from happiness, joy, smiles and laughter but also nervousness from the car finalists.

The colour gold signifies extravagance, royalty, glitz and glamour and these elements aptly describe Take n Pay’s golden gala dinner, which was hosted at the Umhlatuzana Civic Hall, recently.

It was a night to remember from the entrance to the entire proceedings that took place. The atmosphere was charged with mixed emotions from happiness, joy, smiles and laughter but also nervousness from the car finalists.

Emceed by the humorous Sagie Muruguan, the memorable evening included captivating entertainment, as well as the highly-anticipated win-a-car draw.

This year, Take n Pay added a twist to its win-a-car draw. Prior to the golden gala dinner, nine car finalists were chosen.

A further 150 golden ticket winners were then chosen through various competitions with one person standing a chance to be the 10th finalist.

Rose Govender’s lucky ticket number 99 was drawn on the night which made her the 10th finalist. She joined the other nine finalists who each anxiously waited for their turn to try and unlock the vehicle.

Indran Pillay’s dream of winning the brand new Renault Clio became a reality when he unlocked the car and drove away with the title of being this year’s Take n Pay’s 2018 win-a-car winner.  All finalists did not walk away empty handed they each received a voucher to the value of R2000.

One of the golden ticket winners, Janice Brenton, said, “It was nothing less than spectacular.  I cannot think of any chain stores in Chatsworth that has had a function for the community in this magnitude.  It was phenomenal! Your MC was a delight. With regards to the food, I do not have enough words to express what the food was like, hats off to the caterers. It was certainly a night to remember and something we didn’t wish an end to. We are regular shoppers at Take and Pay and will definitely not be changing that. Well done Take n Pay.”

Take ‘n Pay would like to thank the community for their continued support and for contributing to the success of the golden gala. Take n Pay also commits to keep the momentum by going even bigger and better for their 2019 win-a-car competition.
