Man (62) convicted of repeated child rape

A 62-year-old man, Jeremiah Elias Ncwane, was recently convicted of repeatedly raping a child in the Umkhunya location, Dududu, in 2023.

On Monday, February 10, the Scottburgh Magistrates Court delivered the guilty verdict and sentenced Ncwane to 15 years imprisonment.

Additionally, he was declared unfit to possess a firearm.

The successful investigation was led by Detective Sergeant Vuyiswa Dlamini of the Port Shepstone Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS).
