Alleged drug runner nabbed

Col Zungu said their drug combating strategies will help to reduce the sale and use of drugs in the city.

A 35-year-old man was arrested by the Metro Police tactical support unit in Chatsworth for dealing and being in the possession of illegal narcotics.

The suspect was processed at the Chatsworth police station. Metro Police spokesperson, Col Boysie Zungu said the suspect may be linked to numerous drug-related dealings.

The suspect was found in the possession of 333 pieces of suspected rock cocaine, 750 capsules of suspected heroin, and 35 mandrax tablets.

Col Zungu said their drug combating strategies will help to reduce the sale and use of drugs in the city.

“We have strategically deployed teams throughout the city to monitor drug-related activities,” said Col Zungu.
