Analytical excellence recognised at provincial police awards
She has trained many of her colleagues in the CIMAC environment and has empowered them with the skills necessary to perform their duties more efficiently. She has worked over weekends and public holidays to ensure that service delivery is not hampered.
Stationed at Bellair SAPS for the past 15 years, Fazana Mahomed’s passion and drive have been recognised at the KZN Provincial Excellence Awards, held at the Durban ICC on Friday, September 29.
Mahomed is an official at the Crime Information and Management Analysis Centre (CIMAC), and is passionate about her work, utilising her excellent analytical skills to serve the Bellair community, hence being honoured as administrative employee of the year.

She has previously been nominated and placed second in last year’s awards ceremony. Having provided aid to numerous community-based projects in the Bellair policing area, as well as having assisted the KZN provincial office on numerous occasions over the year, Mahomed has gone above and beyond the call of duty.

The dynamic woman also acts as an admin to the WhatsApp group, Arundel Employment, which serves to help the community’s youth and unemployed members to find employment opportunities.
Mahomed strives to build a better, stronger partnership with the Bellair community, and have them gain trust in the police and confidence in the police.
