It is that time of the year when the FNB Diwali Festival lights up the city of Durban. The event, which kicked-off yesterday, has gained much popularity since its inception. From an amazing fireworks display to a variety of stalls and entertainment, there is certainly no doubt that this event is perfect for Durbanites. The traditional float procession took place this morning (October 18) and as always, was a tremendous success. Seen are members of the Andra Maha Sabha of South Africa who proudly showed their support.

Project Distinction held its annual fourth year event on Saturday, February 13. Matric pupils in public schools who did well in the 2015 academic year were awarded a scholarship for their first year tertiary education.Event organisers, Ismail Moola, Mohamed Jassat, Dr Ridwaan Mia and Waseem Sirkhot, thanked all the sponsors and attendees at the end of the event.
“As Project Distinction we are targeting marginalised pupils from public schools, helping them get the funds to establish themselves in tertiary institutions,” said Moola.
