District 14 is the biggest district in the country. Progress primary hosted schools from parts of Soweto, Lenasia and Eldorado Park for the three winter codes championship, which is soccer volleyball and netball.

A total of nine buses were carrying pupils from different schools to showcase their sportsmanship at Progress Primary and at the Tech grounds.

According to the Principal Mr Naidoo, for schools to have qualified for the inter district level they had to be the top winners from their area.

Schools were competing each other in all codes to see which school was the best.

Lenasia has 16 primary schools and 6 high schools, a number of schools competed with schools outside the area within the three different codes.

The department of Education supported the sport event with banners dividing the sporting arena. Coaches and educators from different schools came together to make sure their respective schools were competitive.

Within the three codes each team that wins receives a trophy and calls it a victory lap.
