Drug bust in Bellair

Just recently, the officers apprehended a 35-year-old man, who was found in possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R6, 000.

Just recently, the officers apprehended a 35-year-old man, who was found in possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R6, 000.

Provincial SAPS spokeswoman, Cpt Nqobile Gwala stated that the accused was arrested following an operation, which was conducted on Monday, February 1 at a premises on Sarnia Road in Bellair.

“Upon searching the premises, police recovered 113 capsules of heroin, two half-moon shapes of rock cocaine, two ecstasy tablets and a small bag containing heroin,” added Cpt Gwala.

The accused was charged for possession of drugs and made an appearance in the Durban Magistrates Court, on Tuesday.
